M-TEC are at the forefront of engaging schools and students alike via the Industrial Cadets programme. This has been acknowledged through our recent award presented by HRH the Prince of Wales in March 2018, for “Outstanding SME Employer of the Year”.

Capitalising on this award along with our ongoing commitment to the Industrial Cadets, our team have and are engaging numerous local schools to encourage the students to take an active role in pursuing work experience in the engineering sectors.

Below are some of the schools that are already engaged with M-TEC’s cadet programme, if you are a student at one of the schools mentioned, please contact your careers team to enquire about taking advantage of the exisitng route we have in place for your work experience. If your school is not mentioned below, please feel free get in touch with either us here at M-TEC or your careers team directly, to encourage the school to get involved with STEM, STEAM, M-TEC and the Industrial Cadets.

Why Engineering?

As a student, have you ever wondered ‘How’ your subjects at school relate to ‘Engineering’?, furthermore how these subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) can help you develop a career in engineering? STEM is widely publicised at present with a view to giving students a guide as to key subjects required for budding young engineers to excel in. Examples of these subjects can be seen in the image below. You can also see further relevant information on our Partner Pages section.
